Avalakki

Ingredients(for 2 people) :
Two small glass full avalakki (beaten rice) ,1 chopped onion,1 chopped tomato,chopped coriander leaves(two spoons),2 chopped green chilli,turmeric power(one tea-spoon),curry leaves,mustard seeds, groundnut oil,salt,lemon and grated coconut(one small cup) being optional.                      
   
       
Preparation:
Soak avalakki  in water for 5-10 min and drain.Make tadka with two 2 tea-spoons of oil,mustard seeds,turmeric powder,curry leaves,chilli,onion,tomato.Stir till the onion turns brown colour.Add one and a half table spoon of salt and mix..Add avalakki,grated coconut(optional) and coriander to the mixture and stir well to serve..Addition of lemon juice is preferred when the dish is prepared without onion and grated coconut.
